High Desert Turquoise features more than just turquoise. You'll also find a rainbow of other stones such as genuine red, pink, and orange coral, orange red, and purple spiny oyster, gaspeite, charoite or charolite, Sacred Buffalo, White Buffalo, Wild or Crazy Horse, lapis lazuli, mother of pearl, pink shell, black jet and onyx, natural opal, laboratory grown opal, and more. Our fetishes are hand carved from the finest natural materials.

The Zuni Indians have been making jewelry for hundreds of years.

According to the southwestern tribes and the Gallup, New Mexico Chamber of Commerce, two-thirds of all jewelry sold in this country as Native American is fake. Most of it is made in China, the Philippines, Mexico, and the Middle East to look like Native American jewelry often copying the Native American artists' signature designs.

These knockoff sweatshops make jewelry that's made to look old to re sell on auction sites as 'pawn' and 'estate' jewelry as well as jewelry that looks like Zuni or Navajo inlay work but isn't.

It is a violation of the federal Indian Arts and Crafts Act is misrepresent foreign made jewelry as Native American. You can buy with confidence here and be assured that the Indian jewelry you purchase is genuine and was meticulously handmade by talented artisans residing in the American southwest or west and personally hand selected.

All items -- except occasional carefully chosen authentic old or dead pawn pieces which come with the original pawn tickets -- are new and both old and new pieces will ship with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Finally, as a tribute and a little self indulgent nostalgia to what would later prove be the genesis for our love of Native American jewelry, we offer a selection of authentic old Lone Ranger memorabilia and a few surprises in the Potpourri section.

Now at the left of page, pick out and click on your favorite category of Native American jewelry and begin your shopping. Please make sure to check the shipping, general policies, and payments page before purchasing.

Enjoy -- you're always welcome!
